Do You Have A 10 Year Old Suit?!?

Wow! I just had the craziest day! I opened my trunk and found a suit that I used to wear when I was a Managerial Supervisor. That was 10 years ago!

It just goes to show you how hard suits for tall women are to find. I held onto it for that long thinking, "I may need this someday."

As a career tall woman it is easy to get frustrated with things that are simple for say "a business man" or maybe a petite size business woman. But I don't let that bother me. That was back in the days before the internet. I have found that as time goes on more and more companies are helping us tall women get into style.

Some great clothing sources for suits for tall women that I've found are:

Long Tall Sally's , a UK based tall women clothing site that ships worldwide. They have a nice little selection of classy conservative suits. Sizes 8 to 22. Inseam 34" - 38".

Miory , a UK based tall clothing design label. They have a nice little selection of casual suits. Sizes 10 - 18. Inseam 36".

LongLegs , a Canada based tall women clothing site that appears to ship to North America at least (hello, could we get some "Shipping Info" on the site?). At any rate, they have some absolutely wonderful and stylish Blazers and Suits! Sizes 4 - 20. Inseam 36" - 38".

Design Elevations , USA based tall woman clothing designer Marlene Henderson's label. Marlene has very elegant, sleek, and fashionable designs in her repertoire. Sizes 8 to 16. Inseam 34" - 36".

A couple others in the USA are LuxiourslyTall.com and Tall Etc... (TallWomen.com). These sites have a good little selection of tall suits and career apparel and are very homey.

O.K.... back to the trunk. It's not that I don't clean my trunk, it's just that my trunk seems to collect things. (O.K. maybe I got that backwards).... Hrrrrmmm Hmmmmm.... I don't clean my trunk, and therefore my trunk collects things. (O.K. I've come clean, are you happy?)

Anyways I do make sure to get rid of stuff that I don't need. I'm a fanatic about having useless frustrating clutter around. In fact, I seem to throw things away I could use without a second thought (bad habit, I know). But this suit somehow made it through 10 years of tirades! Go figure?

It's probably not in fashion anymore, but neither are my father-in-laws 1970's neck ties. :-)

Let me tell you, as a tall woman it used to be such a chore just to find what you need to get ahead. (Is this a conspiracy?) I mean I had all the credentials and traits of a professional, but I could hardly find anything to wear! (Once again, Is this a conspiracy?)

Hardly! As a career woman you know that the money goes to where the market is. Anything on the fringes is left for gold dust. It's just business.

Well thank God for The World Wide Web. Now we can search far and wide for whatever we need. The only problem is.... this can be almost as frustrating as trying to find it where you live...
